QUALITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Quality

“Testing alone will not bring about quality; instead, quality must be produced.” – This principle is reflected in all of our processes and activities. Since the mid-1990s, our quality awareness has grown continuously to keep pace with the requirements of our clients and with our own demands. Ongoing development, regular certification of our QM systems and successful client audits are evidence of the importance that we attach to quality.

1983 First quality-assurance measures such as initial prototype test reports in accordance with VDA. Dimensional accuracy and production records become standard as part of the traceability of products and orders.

1995 The first QM manual was prepared, which described the production procedure and the corresponding checks in work instructions and inspection instructions. The first standardisations were carried out in the area of documentation.

1998 Introduction and certification of the first QM system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9002

2001 Introduction and certification of a QM system in accordance with ISO/TS 16949

Environmental protection

Wool felt consists of natural fibres. These fibres are pure sheep wool, animal hairs and/or wool leftovers from spinning mills, and viscose fibres. As these are all natural materials, felt can be recycled or composted at the end of the product life cycle without any concerns.

As we guarantee type purity for synthetic needle felts and fleece materials, these can also be recycled without any concerns after they have fulfilled their intended purpose.

As a company, we also strive to structure our processes and working methods in such a way that we have the least possible impact on the environment. We document this for other interested parties as part of our environmental management system.
